1. Shipping and Delivery

An RMA number is required for all returns. Return shipments arriving without an RMA number will be refused.

1.1 Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Australia, and United Arab Emirates

1.2 What if my delivery looks damaged?

We need to know within 5 working days of delivery (starting on the day your order is delivered). If the delivery looks obviously damaged please refuse the delivery. If it has been left, or posted, then please retain all the delivery packaging and contact us. Before returning anything to us you need to contact us and get a RMA number. See the section covering 'Returns and Replacements for full details.

2. Warranty Returns and Replacements

2.1 What is covered under warranty?

Any and all manufacturing defects in either materials or workmanship for Tanita products purchased on

Any damages caused by misuse, abuse, mishap (including dropping, shocking and overloading the scale), normal deterioration or physical damage. To obtain a RMA number you can contact us via the contact form or download it from this page. Also any minor or resulting damage or loss is not covered.

2.3 What is the warranty period on my product?

1 year.

2.4 How do I return a damaged delivery or faulty item?

1. Contact TANITA Asia at or 852-2834-3917 to obtain the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number.

2. Fill in the Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form and return the completed form to TANITA Asia at An email will be sent to you upon receipt of your request.

3. Follow the requirements listed on the Returns Policy page to pack the RMA items, and ship via any traceable means (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL) at buyer expense. Be sure to retain the tracking information for your records and also share that information with TANITA Asia for reference.

4. TANITA Asia will follow up with your RMA request upon receipt of your RMA items.  

2.5 How do I send my product back once I received confirmation?

Original packaging (if available) should be used to minimize the potential risk for shipment damage. The customer should use appropriate packing materials.

Please follow these guidelines when returning product(s) to Tanita Asia:

- Use the product original packaging (if still available).
- Ship the RMA items via traceable means (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL) at buyer expense
- Write the RMA number on at least 2 outside surfaces of each return package
- Write the RMA number on the packing list
- Add the RMA form that was returned to you as well as a copy of your Order Confirmation to your return package
- All RMA returned items must be sent via traceable means. Be sure to retain the tracking information for your records
- The customer is responsible for the product until it is received by Tanita Asia. Tanita Asia is liable for the returned item upon receipt of shipment
- The customer is responsible for paying shipment charges when returning products to Tanita Asia. Tanita Asia is responsible for paying shipment charges when returning the repaired item or replacement to the customer.

2.7 Can Tanita refuse my return shipment?

Shipments received by Tanita Asia without a faulty or no RMA number will be refused. Please kindly make sure you have obtained the RMA number and fill the necessary information

2.8  When will I receive my repair or replacement?

We aim to have your repair or replacement ready for return shipment with 30 working days. Transport time is estimated to be 2 to 5 working days depending on the final destination of the goods.

2.9  Who pays postage?

Please note you will be responsible for the cost of returning goods back to us when using your right to return goods during the cooling down period. Postage will be refunded if we have delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. Please check section 3.2 for more details.
Customer is responsible for all risk of loss and damage to products being shipped for return, exchange or replacement. Please fully insure return shipment in case of loss or damage. Please use a carrier that is able to provide you with proof of delivery such as UPS, Federal Express or DHL. This is for your protection as well as to ensure quick action on your return.


3. Right to Return Goods

3.1 Do I have the right to return my product?

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, returned goods will only be accepted for credit, replacement or repair where they have been returned with an authorisation number issued by Tanita
Defective Items: All defective items must be confirmed defective with Tanita factory prior to issuance of credit

3.2 When do I get my refund?

Depending on the payment method refunds can take up to 30 working days.
